The new 1.7 million square foot Veterans Affairs Hospital of New Orleans has the ability to accommodate 70,000 veterans. The 31 acre VA campus includes 9 buildings connected together by a 1032 foot multi-use concourse. Facilities include:

• Diagnostics and Treatment Building
• Outpatient Building
• Two 7 Story Staff and Visitor Parking Garages
• Transitional Living and Rehab Center
• Central Energy Plant
• Research Facility
• VA Administration Building

Hi-tech Electric was involved from the start of the project. Our contract consisted of the complete fire alarm system as well as all of the raceways for the security, building automated system (BAS), nurse call, and audio and visual system.

Hi-tech Electric also completed the complete electrical scope for the 2 seven story parking garages on the VA campus. This included all of the power, lighting, BAS, fire alarm, and security.
