The BP Northstar Operations Center is a 50,000 sq ft steel building with living quarters, offices, shops and a garage for an ARKTOS amphibious escape vehicle.  It is designed for up to 50 people and is located on BP’s Northstar Field, a manmade island off  the North Slope of Alaska.  The 6 story 3,500 ton building was constructed in Louisiana and shipped by barge to northern Alaska upon completion.
